Targets to influence behaviour change

Capability (C)

Targets may include understanding why and how to make the change, having the competencies needed to implement and sustain the change.

Opportunity (O)

Targets may include having the financial and material resources to make the change, having sufficient time to enact the change; exposure to social or other prompts to undertake the behaviour; having a supportive work culture to encourage the behaviour change.

Motivational (M)

Targets may include truly wanting or needing to engage in the behaviour, having habits and routines, and values and identity that embrace the behaviour.
